Search Engine Optimisation

1What is SEO?
SEO (or Search Engine Optimisation) is a combination of on-page, off-page, holistic and technical techniques combined with one another to make a website more favourable to search engines in order to increase search engine rankings as well as the quantity and quality of traffic.
2How does SEO work?
SEO works through two factors, onsite and offsite, to get your web page seen by search engine result pages (SERPs). Onsite factors are based on your content and website structure and can be increased by optimising the content on your website to include keywords that users are searching for. Offsite factors relate to how your website is referred to from other online sources through the development of good digital relationships and having quality links.
3Does SEO work?
Yes SEO absolutely does work. It has been proven time and time again by industry players such as Moz, Search Engine Land, and Robbie Richards. By implementing current practices to the highest standard for search engines, SEO can be very beneficial to search engine rankings, traffic numbers and ultimately, conversions.
4What is local SEO?
Local SEO is focused on providing results that are relevant to a searcher based on their current location, and is a very targeted online marketing approach for this reason. Local SEO gathers local business information from directories such as Yelp, Yellow Pages, Google My Business and Bing Places and better positions your business on search engines and other digital marketing platforms so you’re more likely seen by potential customers.
1How long does SEO take?
There are a lot of variables that play into how quickly you will see results after implementing SEO, however most websites tend to see results in 4 to 6 months. It is important to remember that this time frame is when you are likely to start seeing results, however, SEO results continue to grow overtime and there is no real number that can be placed on this.
2What are keywords?
Terms or phrases that people search for in search engine sites to try and find a website. It is important to include keywords that people are searching for in your site content as they can help visitors, potential customers and search engines understand the purpose of your page.
3How much does SEO cost?
Terms or phrases that people search for in search engine sites to try and find a website. It is important to include keywords that people are searching for in your site content as they can help visitors, potential customers and search engines understand the purpose of your page.
4What is metadata?
Data that provides information about other data. Meta data is typically a resource for discovery and identification and can include elements such as titles, descriptions and keywords. Meta titles and descriptions are important for SEO as they help with discoverability in search engines and provide users with quick information on what the site is about before they visit it.

Pay Per Click

1What is SEM?
Search Engine Marketing (SEM) is actually an all-encompassing term to describe SEO, AdWords/Bing Ads, and/or shopping feeds. More commonly, however, the term “SEM” is used interchangeably with AdWords or Bing Ads.
2What is PPC?
Pay Per Click (PPC) is the form of paid advertising in which you literally pay per click. Ultimately, this model allows you to pay a fee (per 'click' on your advert) to attract new customers to site. This is in contrast to a CPM (Cost Per Mille [Thousand]) or CPA (Cost Per Acquisition) buying model.
3How much does it cost to advertise on Google?
The good news is that there are no minimum costs to advertise on Google. However, we do recommend a minimum of $1,000 per month to allow for enough data to come through, which can then be analysed and turned into valuable insights for the next campaign.
4Does PPC work?
Absolutely - Just take a look at our case studies to see how we've helped businesses make millions of dollars in annual revenue just through PPC.
1What is Google Adwords?
Google AdWords is Google's official advertising tool that allows you to implement paid advertising through its different platforms such as Google Search, YouTube, Google Display Network, Gmail, and Google Maps.
2How does Pay Per Click advertising work?
Pay Per Click advertising is based on an open auction. Every time you bid on a search term, you are competing against other websites bidding on the same search term. The highest bidder has their ad shown at the highest spot. While the maximum bid certainly plays a big part in where ads appear, things like Quality Score (for AdWords), locality, and previous search history can affect ad positioning.
3Does PPC help SEO?
PPC advertising indirectly helps SEO by allowing you to see what keywords are converting, which can then inform what type of landing page content should be written.
